Um....well I think I am back now. I am graduated with my Japanese degree and married to boot! Its been a long year or two since I've been on here in any measurable capacity...that said, I can't promise a full return to my previous level of activity on here yet. But I do have a sketch or two I could post. It'll probably be a photo though since we don't have a scanner. Oh goodness...I am so scatterbrained! I think my multi-task control center is on the fritz or something, lol. It took me almost 5 minutes to figure out how to update this again...anyway. I feel like my style has evolved as it were, and whether that is a good thing or not remains to be seen. I've just primarily drawn little doodles over the past year but I think I will work up to real drawings again soon. On a more academic note, I have been informally translating the first Earl and Fairy light novel over at a livejournal community. On temporary hiatus - reasons to follow

So I am just bad at large-scale multitasking or something...school possesses my soul during the semester and I can't deal with much else. Things are much better now that I'm only working on-call, but my homework has expanded to fill the void that left (imagine that...) and it leaves me rather frazzled. I do have some pictures done-ish but I haven't scanned them and thus they are not posted as of now. Maybe that will change, I don't know. For now I need to figure things out and as cheesy as it sounds - do some soul-searching and get in touch with myself, the real me, not my homework or grades or outwardly perceptions. I will, however, be going to Anime Banzai, hopefully as Miranda if I can get my excorcist jacket put together in time...so I will probably put some pics of the finished costume up at the end of the month.

So. I am going to sign off for a while - if I haven't responded to your comments or deviations its not because I hate you or anything. hmm. I think there is room for one more music meme - cuz I am a sucker for those...credit to Aoikita for this one. (proceeds to update her "Attack of the Meme" journal entry.)

Alrighty...The first week of my last two semesters of University is OVER. And I survived - kinda. I quit my tech support job and started an on-campus classroom multimedia support job...and then quit it after I had a nervous breakdown a week later. As my mom put it: I have no reserves left. My resiliency is kaput. I guess I've just been living such a high stress life for so long that it finally caught up with me. So my parents are being awesome and helping me out with rent and such so that I don't have to work this semester and I can just focus on school. Which after this first week...I'm really grateful for that. 400-level Japanese classes are not a walk in the park. But no work also means I have more potential free-time. So that is very very good. We'll see if that improves my artistic output.
Also, I posted a rough translation of the beginning of the BKI novel over at my BKI fanclub if anyone is interested.

So yeah. That's all for now. I'm going to bed.

The 14th?? Crap...I am seeing a trend here. I apologize and promise to get on more often and maybe I do for a week and then I fall off the horse again. Why is summer so friggin' busy?!? Its not supposed to be. *pout pout* I have been working on some pictures believe it or not though. Scanning them and getting them presentable is another thing entirely. I have gotten the urge to sketch more frequently as of late so hopefully that means I won't leave you with empty promises. My mom is having surgery this week so I'm trying to arrange work so I can be home more often - meaning that I'll be in the same vicinity as a scanner. Hopefully I will take advantage of that. Until I post something...adieu.

I really am here. Existing. I promise. My latest excuse is my little sister's wedding (which was gorgeous btw) that happened Saturday. Its been chaos preparing for it so now that its over my fam is breathing a collective sigh of relief. I also have a boyfriend now, so that takes more time than I originally thought...in any case I have woefully neglected dA and I'm sorry. I really like the new set up though - makes checking deviations and responding to comments a bzillion times easier! I've been kinda waiting for inspiration to hit me for that 200th deviation but nothing has happened yet so I'm going to just go ahead and try randomly drawing some stuff or touching up an old pic or something cuz my lack of art lately is simply ridiculous. Hopefully I'll have something up soon...could be fanart, might not be. I have made the decision to play video games today since I swapped my work schedule for a morning shift and I'm thinking I may want to work mornings come Fall semester despite my hatred of getting up early. Its nice to have the rest of the day though. K, I'm rambling so...*running away*
Also, I have been neglecting my BKI club so people please submit stuff so I have some motivation to keep it going, ne?

K, so I was looking at my front page a moment ago and noticed that I have 199 deviations. (whether they all deserve to be deviations or should be scrapped is another matter) I then thought to myself, it would be really cool if I had an amazing deviation for my 200th one, it needs to be memorialized somehow. So I am going to attempt an amazing deviation. I have not yet decided if it will be fanart or if I will try drawing an OC...its been a looong time since I've drawn anything from my own head. Nor have I decided if it will be black and white or colored. I wish I could do some sort of amazing photoshopy wonder-painting like some people do, but I doubt that will happen. So I guess I'll see where this goes. It deserves a freakin' nice background though (which automatically means it will take more time than I usually have patience for). If you have any inspiring ideas - I guess I should say 'themes' - then I'd be open to hearing them. Note: I don't want specific character things like "you should totally draw a hot picture of Edward!" Edward is wonderful but he very well might not be the subject of this next deviation. I also had a rather fractured idea a bit ago for a DGM comic involving Allen's shocking behavior in the most recent manga chapter...it'd have to go in scraps till the 200th is up though. Anyway, I should go to bed. And put these chips back in the kitchen. I am eating way too many of them...

sorry for the double journal spamming...I realized I want this one on my front page - silly me...

Y'know, starting these off with an apology is just sad and pathetic. At least I have made some progress in actually posting a picture...
Again, I have been neglectful and I am sorry. I responded to as many comments as I could but I'm afraid I pretty much am going to have to skip out on the journals and deviations. 800+ is just overwhelming me to the point of not bothering to get on and I don't want that of course. So if there is a pic of yours that I simply must see - like, you'll die if I don't, then send me the link in a note. I am just not mentally able to handle going through everything (not to mention my internet is flaky and slower than at my last apartment). On a happier note, I am making progress on another pic that I hope to post before June. Getting back into art has been rather difficult, so please be patient with me.
I am thinking that aside from normal fanart I will do a tutorial on drawing clothing - it'll be much more streamlined than my Timcanpy one, no worries. Would people be interested though?

Waah, I'm sorry I haven't been on! Life keeps being busy and then when it isn't I don't feel like doing anything...but I have 2 projects I am bound and determined I will do and will post by June. One is a pic for the Kanda bday competition in dgrayCHARA, and the other is a comic of one of my friends that I promised I'd do. So be not dismayed, I will resurface at some point - I just keep getting mentally overwhelmed by things. Alright, I will make myself draw...right now. *dashes off to slay some paper*

Indeed. I do live, contrary to popular opinion. I have more or less triumphantly finished Winter semester and am taking a well deserved summer vacation - finally! After a solid year and a half of school! This is amazing, I haven't had more than a week or two without homework for almost 2 years...HA! This almost makes me want to take more classes at a time so I can just graduate and be done...but that costs more money. And I have decided I am going to try and go on study abroad to Japan next summer since it'll be my last chance to go with the university before I graduate. It will be glorious.

Shifting to more applicable topics...now that I'm slowly returning to sanity I will hopefully be on here more often. I have a slew of things to scan and perhaps color and I have determined that I should do more Twilight fanart. I've been on a D.Gray-man kick recently (not that that is a bad thing) but I need to be sure I do other things too. So I will start wading through comments and journals and *shudder* the 700 deviations in my watch-thing. So know that I do intend to do more, it'll just take me a while. In the meantime, y'all should check out Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto and then join my fanclub for it (which I shall be bringing out of hiatus soon).

*wimper wimper* Forgive meeeeee! I have been so non-existent lately, gomen nasai! At least I haven't been so bad at getting a few pics up. I'm still working on getting through everyone's deviations though - currently I have 460 to look at. O.O; And I have a feeling that probably won't happen till after finals. Which, incedentally, are exactly a month from today (for me anyway). I will try to chip away at it before then maybe... Now that midterms have all finished its time for the final projects and papers rush! Infact, I happen to be NOT writing a paper right now! Its lovely. I do have the outline and most of the research done though, I should give myself credit for that. I am thinking I will post my 322 project at some point soon-ish. We had to do a creative adaptation of one of the stories we've read this semester - I chose to draw a manga of "Amagasa" (The Umbrella), tis a very cute little story, and I did it chibi-style. :3 Any-kaku, my point is that I am stressed and lacking time for the most part so I will continue to be rather...not...here. for a while. yes. *runs and hides*

So Singles Awareness Day has come and gone...and I ate lots of chocolate. School is still eating me - more so than work now...I decided it didn't exist these past few days and skipped class Friday. Hopefully this 3-day weekend will give me time to chill out and get back to functionality. Speaking of which, I WILL get to looking at deviations and actually finishing some of my own - I promise. Yurushite kureru? I've just not wanted to deal with...well, prettymuch everything lately so I've let it pile up. I'm determined to get my life back though so wish me luck. Hopefully I'll be somewhat caught up in a couple weeks.
PS. D.Gray-man episode 70 was pretty...and the manga distresses me at the moment. I hate the Hitler-man...he should be violently disposed of.

So I've decided I'm going to just keep one journal for this instead of creating a new one each time I make an entry...maybe I'll make a new one quarterly or something but I think it'll be easier this way.

School and work are sadly succeeding in the conquest for my soul - a fact that has me rather distressed. I actually missed a class this week because I was unprepared and needed to catch up on sleep. And work owns me...gah. I am determined to get things under control however and just suck it up and study whether I feel like it or not. Its rather difficult though as I have discovered that some aspects of linguistics remind me horribly of math. I really hated math. Not that I couldn't do it, but it frustrates me when something academic doesn't come easily to me and - heaven forbid - I actually have to expend effort to understand it. Oh well, I think I can just attribute this all to a bad case of senioritis compounded with working almost fulltime. Work isn't even all that bad since I got my raise and they've fixed some management things - its just freakin' time consuming! Happy paychecks though...

On the art front, I am making slow progress on various things. I'm trying to keep posting stuff in a semi-regular fashion but thats resulting in a lot of WIPs - hopefully people don't mind. Mostly I'm just too tired at the end of the day to do much that requires thought or coordination. I just have to draw sometimes though and that is resulting in a larger number of doodles in my class notes than I normally end up with...so you can expect some compilations of those too...hopefully I'll get some of these projects colored soon. I need to get caught back up on my homework first though.

I plan to go through and respond to comments and whatnot at least once a week - more frequently if I can manage it. And I STILL haven't gotten to most people's deviations for the past month... yurushite kureru? I'm up to over 300 now and it keeps intimidating me everytime I consider going through them...I will get to them though...eventually...

Ah me...another semester has begun...TT_TT Contrary to my previous intentions it is going to be even more busy than last semester. I'm working 33 hours/week in addition to my two 300-level Japanese classes. I'm really really going to try to keep up on things but if I don't respond to a comment or look at your pics for several days its not because I am purposely ignoring you. Its because I'm battling class or work for my soul. I'm going to do my best to keep posting pics as well, since I have several WIPs and countless ideas despite my lack of time. And I'm still checking books out at work...as if I'll have time to read them...dame da ne - watashi...
