Corbin: Many Shades of Black

FINALLY! Here is Kiiri's original character Corbin (not mine, Kiiri's), he is blind and dresses in black...hangs out with crows - in other words he's a pretty cool guy. I originally had some indecision about whether or not to color him or just shade in graphite like I normally do. I put him up in scraps unfinished and asked for opinions...it came back pretty equally divided. In the end, I was somewhat lazy and just decided to ink and shade it - but I did shade it in more detail than I have for a very long time. I'm rather pleased with the results. I was going to do the wings all black - like they're supposed to be, but decided that since the light source was from above it there'd have to be some funky shading things going on at the top of the wings...and then I got all phillosophical about white vs. black wings and ended up doing the wings as if they were stained black and faded to white the closer they got to the light. Anyway. Hope you like it Kiiri!!! See - I finished it! Sorry it took so long...
edit: That fabric he's holding is a blindfold btw...
